Personality and Role Profile

You are an energetic and charismatic person thriving to provide a superb level of service to all your guests.  You thrive to provide a superb level of customer service and naturally engage with our guests. You will create, prepare and mix drinks from our extensive drinks menu and help create enchanting moments that make our guests want to return to our bars. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure to acknowledge, deal with and bid farewell to all clients. 
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.
- Assess bar customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Interact with guests. 
- Conduct follow-up visits to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Handle payments and make sure charges are accurate.
- Opening and closing of the bar area.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Extensive knowledge of the beverage list and food menus.
- Keep a clean and properly laid-up working area.
- Report any complaints/comments to the Manager/supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and report breakages.
- Place internal beverage orders from Main Stores.

Desirable Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes

- Proven previous work experience in a 5 Star environment. 
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, coffee, tea and other beverages.
- Ability to work under pressure. 
- Excellent guest service skills. 
- Flexibility to work in shifts.
- Excellent attention to detail. 
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Hands-on experience with cash and ideally with Micros Simphony point of sale
- Holds a local Food Handling License in accordance with the Food Safety Commission of Malta
